On ‘Quiet Part Out Loud’, the second LP produced by Bert Vliegen, Filibuster tilt towards the raw 90's, with more Pumpkins, Nirvana and Weezer in the mix, alongside usual comparisons such as Sonic Youth or Sebadoh. All this, only shamelessly hypersensitive.

Filibuster is a rag tag collection of classical, avant-garde, punk and jazz musicians. Their sound is situated in the middle of 80's & 90's guitar music, combining the tendency of post punk/noise pioneers to break form and alt-rock/shoegaze's slacker philosophy to just play song and immerse themselves into a raw guitar sound. With moody, introspective songwriting and both mellow and frantic riffing, the result is a kind of bipolar, nostalgic-fatalistic noisepop. Designed to comfort and annoy, push and drag.
